When you buy a drone, you normally need to choose between providing aerial HD footage, and the performance to race other fliers. While you could certainly set up something to do both — especially if you’re comfortable with a soldering iron — the Airro Mini drone aims to fulfill both purposes out of the box, with no tinkering on your part.

The Airro Mini is now being funded on Kickstarter, and, if successful, the top pledge level gives you everything you’ll need to start flying, including the drone itself, a transmitter, and even an FPV goggles setup. A line-of-sight option is available as well, along with just the drone if you’d rather provide your own FlySky controller. Video recording is handled onboard the drone, eliminating any interference associated with signal transmission.

If you do decide to go with their controller, it’s a bit different than the large bulky units you would normally expect to see controlling RC aircraft. Instead, it’s an ergonomically designed device, featuring a touchscreen and programmable lights. Additionally, the FPV display is capable of displaying battery life, saving you from over-discharging and damaging your Li-Po cells. The headset display can also be used as a handheld monitor, or affixed to a tripod depending on your needs.
