It was just the other day that someone hacked Alexa into a Big Mouth Billy Bass. Now, Tinkernut has decided to make another toy from our childhood a bit more real with help from the Amazon platform.
To bring his old Teddy Ruxpin to life, Tinkernut employed an Arduino for syncing audio and movement, a Raspberry Pi running Alexa for voice assistance, some servos, a USB microphone, wire, and a push button.
Every time you want to ask a question, simply press the button on his back, and Teddy willopen his mouth to give you a response. You can find a detailed log of the build here and a demo of it below.
In the words of its creator, “Let the nightmares begin!”
