Hate waiting for the bartender to serve you? You’re not alone. A recent survey found the average wait on a night out is 12 minutes. Looking to solve this “problem,” Barclaycard has developed a first-of-its-kind, contactless beer pump.

The aptly named “Pay @ Pump” allows drinkers to pour their own ale in 60 seconds. Simply select your pint using its touchscreen, tap your contactless card or mobile device at the base of the pump, and place your glass under the dispenser.

It doesn’t have to be limited to pubs and restaurants either; in fact, we could see something like this be rather useful at festivals and sporting events. You can read all about the prototype here, and see a demo of it below!
