Creep Your Friends Out With This 3D-Printed Eye

Eyes are an interesting thing. In the right context they can be attractive, or used to connect in a conversation. On the other hand, a bare eyeball peeking out from underneath some sort of clothing, as shown in the video here, tends to be pretty creepy.

Hacker Will Cogley built this little device in a day from design to finish, and shows how to create your own using an Arduino and a 3D printer. The project uses two servos to allow the eyeball to rotate up/down and left/right, and another pair to actuate the eyelids.

Movement is controlled by a joystick, while a small push to make switch blinks the eye and another potentiometer adjusts how wide open the eyelids are by default.
