Dobot M1 Is a Robotic Arm That 3D Prints, Engraves, Solders, and More

Long story short, industrial robotic arms are way too expensive for the everyday Maker. Dobot wants to change that with their new desktop device, the M1.

The Dobot M1 features interchangeable heads that allow it perform various tasks, such as 3D printing, laser engraving, picking and placing, and soldering.

Dobot M1 is highly expandable. It comes with an open SDK and API, which supports C++, C#, Python, Java, and other coding languages.

The Dobot M1 can be controlled by desktop software, 3D mouse connection, mobile apps, as well as a manual joystick. The arm possesses advanced visual recognition capabilities, enabling it to differentiate moving objects in assembly lines by shape and color.

The machine is equipped with a built-in mapping system, has a reach of up to 47 inches, and is accurate up to 0.02mm.
