If you spend most of your time indoors (and there is a good chance you do), you likely do so under artificial light. Letting sunlight in is great if you have a window nearby, but if not, the Solenica team has a solution. Meet Lucy, a spherical mirror apparatus that can redirect the sun’s rays into your work or living space.

Lucy only has to be turned on once when taken out of the box, and is then placed in the sun where it rotates its mirror to place sunlight where you need it. It gets energy for this movement from the sun as well, so there is no charging or really worrying about it at all. Just place it, point it in the right direction, and you should be good to go.

She’s a smart natural lighting robot that measures light intensity values to find and redirect the sun’s light to the exact spot you choose, all day long.

Solenica’s Indiegogo campaign is already nearly 400% funded with over 20 days to go until it closes, so there’s a good chance you can see one of these in action in the near future!
