My Loopy Robot Entertains and Educates

If you’re looking for a robot companion for you or your kids, then My Loopy looks like a great place to start. Now on Kickstarter, this AI-powered robot can be used without an app, and has its own quirky personality expressed using a pair of LED eyes, a light-up dome with six RGB LEDs, and a voice speaker.

My Loopy’s behavior changes as you interact with it — as it believes it’s just landed on Earth from the planet Loopitron— from only communicating in its native language, to becoming more articulate in English, unlocking several games, and gaining the ability to use of all of its sensors.

Owners interact with the little guy via an array of sensors, allowing it to pick up on touch, proximity, light, temperature, tilt, motion, and sound. It also has a button that can toggle between games, or even make it go into dance party mode, emitting tunes and flashing away with the lights on its head. Not to worry, though, an on/off switch is included for when party time is over.
