Nerf weaponry is a great way to get out your aggression without actually doing harm to anyone. On the other hand, if you’d like your victims to know for sure that they got hit, then the Taser Nerf dart gun from Allen Pan is something that you… really shouldn’t build.

Regardless of whether the world is ready for this type of Nerf device, the build seen in the video below is quite entertaining. Allen had designed this project for his younger brother, as a sort of revenge for how he showed his “brotherly love” by torturing him as a child. Small spoiler here, young Pan apparently isn’t the violent type, so instead of shooting Allen with it, they find quite a few other interesting targets for this weapon — including steel wool and acetone.

Construction-wise, the electrified bolts contain a rather thin capacitor that’s charged using the innards of a disposable camera. One just presses a button on the back, and it makes a nice humming sound as it charges via the modded dart’s side contacts. When fired — taking advantage a new heavier spring and 17/32” brass barrel — it hurls towards the target, only to be stopped by its forward-facing shock-probes, while making an impressive spark on conductive materials.
