If you tuned in to America’s Greatest Makers last season, then the duo of Aleda and Jonathan Schaffer may look familiar. They are the creators of the Delta Gloves, a wearable device designed to enhance strength training by tracking your exercises, sets, and reps.

Meant to replace traditional weightlifting gloves, the Delta Gloves are equipped with a removable puck that monitors your movements and can be taken out whenever necessary.

Based on the Intel Curie module, the Delta Gloves feature printed pressure sensors that detect the weight lifted regardless of palm orientation, and provide real-time analytics like power, velocity, and explosion. It also has audio or haptic notifications to mark the end of each set and rest period.

The Delta Gloves — which can be used with dumbbells, machines, or body weight exercises including pushups — make it easy to review your past performance and then use that data to customize workouts to help you reach your goals. Its creators will eventually offer online trainers and additional wearable products for tracking different activities and athletic pursuits as well.

Want a pair for the gym? Early adopters can get their Delta Gloves for $99, while the rest of you will have to pay $199.
