A common rite of passage for electronics geeks is to build an electronics project that fits entirely within an Altoids tin. Why? As far as enclosures go, they’re cheap, plentiful, and portable. Of course, for the past couple of decades it has also become a meme of sorts (like using a banana for scale).

But, this is the future and times they are a changin’. Now, you can go even smaller, as Reddit user deathonater demonstrates by shoving an entire computer within a Tic Tac box. The computer is a Raspberry Pi Zero W, and deathonator needed it to act as a portable WiFi AP for configuring devices.

What’s really great about this project, called Pi-Tac 1.0, is just how much deathonator was able to fit inside that Tic-Tac box. There is the Pi, an Adafruit PiOLED display, and even a battery and Adafruit Powerboost charger combo. While this does appear to be the jumbo size Tic-Tac box, it’s still very impressive. And, if you’re wondering: yes, they were the orange flavor.
