After teasing their displays several weeks ago, Unick has launched their TAIHE Gemini portable monitors on Kickstarter, which includes the 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen and 4K UHD display. While other portable options on the market can provide a dual-screen setup for mobile devices, most are not battery powered and come with a host of different connection options.

It’s not uncommon to use multiple displays at work or home offices to boost productivity, and portable monitors can do the same for mobile devices in the field. The TAIHE Gemini displays can easily connect with those devices and have a solid range of features over their competitors.

On the Gemini 4K side, the monitor provides a 15.6-inch IPS panel (3840 X 1920 @ 60Hz) with HDR support, 5,000mAh rechargeable battery (5-hour uptime), a USB-C port, mini DP port, HDMI port, and 2X USB 2.0 ports. It also packs a pair of speakers, kickstand, and supports landscape and portrait modes.

The Gemini FHD version is equipped with a 15.6-inch a-Si TFT LCD IPS (1920 X 1080 @ 60Hz) 10-point capacitive touchscreen, a USB-C port, 2X mini USB ports, and a pair of mini HDMI ports. Like the 4K version, the display also has a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery, kickstand, and stereo speakers. As mentioned earlier, both Gemini monitors are being crowdfunded on Kickstarter with pledges starting at $219 for the FHD touchscreen version, and $299 for the 4K model. Worldwide shipping adds another $25 to their price tags, and have an expected delivery date sometime in May.
