Though there are other consoles available, for cutting-edge gaming, you’ll either turn to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Unfortunately, there’s really no way to get around the inconvenience of needing to have two consoles. Or is there? If you’re hacker extraordinaire Edward Zarick, you simply disassemble both systems, smash them together, then cut an acrylic case for the newly born Xstation.

With this new project, Zarick can now switch between consoles at the touch of a button. Power is only provided to one system at a time so the device doesn’t overheat, and it has a handy Arduino-controlled LED indicator on the front to tell you what system is active at the moment.

There is no external power supply either, that is also inside the system. Both consoles run into a 2×1 HDMI switch which is controlled by an Arduino. The Arduino also controls the status LEDs and the relay inside.

Be sure to check it out in the video seen here, as well as a previous build of his where he stuffs both systems into luggable laptop form factor!
