YouTuber Builds His Own Mechanical TV

If you have an old CRT television that now has bees living inside, you’ll likely replace it with some sort of flat panel display. William Osman, however, had a different idea, and decided to instead construct a mechanical TV out of mostly junk.

The idea was inspired by an early mechanical television, which used a large rotating disk to display an image. As you might suspect, what we have now (or even CRT sets of a few years ago) has progressed greatly. It’s an interesting experiment, employing one disk to power a camera, and another to display a rather distorted image.
