Meet Yumi, Omate’s Android-powered robot. It is equipped with a five-inch touchscreen for a head, a couple wheels for legs, and features Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service. The incredibly smart and adorable bot boasts a number of functions, including a personal assistant, a music hub, as well as a control panel for your smart home.

Not only does Yumi give you access to a wide range of Android apps, but you can ask the robot anything you want (such as the weather forecast, the traffic information, or to summon you an Uber) and Alexa will provide the answers. Feeling lonely? Yumi is even capable of holding a conversation with anyone in the family, and automatically detects where a voice is coming from—meaning, it’ll make eye contact as you ask a question.

So what else can Yumi do? Ask it to play some songs from your Spotify playlist and enjoy the tunes through its wireless speakers. Connect it to your networking systems, and remotely monitor activity in your home with its front-facing camera. Make Skype calls from anywhere in your house. Hook it up your TV via HDMI, and browse the Internet, play online videos or download games from third party app stores using its HD display.

Yumi is also developer-friendly, which allows you to create your own applications, port any A.I., and customize various Android apps and Alexa Skills.

Sound like your next robotic companion? Yumi will be launching on Indiegogo soon. Until then, check out its video below!
